We are a locally owned gift and photography gallery in beautiful Sun Peaks, BC, offering a
curated selection of unique gifts, locally inspired products, artwork, photography, keepsakes, and
on mountain photography services. We are passionate about creating a warm, welcoming
experience for visitors and helping customers find something special to take home.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, personable Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This
position is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, has an appreciation for art and
photography, and takes pride in providing exceptional customer service.
The Role
As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be an important part of creating a memorable experience
for our guests. You will welcome customers into the gallery, assist with product selection,
process sales, and help maintain an attractive and organized store.
Responsibilities include:
• Welcome and engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner
• Provide knowledgeable and enthusiastic assistance with gifts, artwork, photography, and
merchandise
• Operate the point-of-sale system and process cash, debit, and credit transactions
• Handle opening and closing duties as required
• Restock, merchandise, and maintain displays
• Keep the gallery clean, organized, and visually appealing
• Receive and organize new merchandise
• Assist with inventory counts and stock management
• Package purchases carefully and attractively
• Answer customer questions about products, artists, photography, and the local area
• Help create a positive and memorable experience for visitors to Sun Peaks
• Work collaboratively with other team members
• Follow store procedures for cash handling, security, and customer service
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is:
• Friendly, outgoing, and genuinely enjoys working with people• Customer-service oriented and approachable
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently
• Comfortable in a busy retail environment
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Interested in art, photography, design, gifts, or local products
• Comfortable using a POS system and handling payments
• A strong communicator with a positive attitude
• Able to stand and move around the store for extended periods. Must be comfortable on a
step ladder.
• Previous retail, hospitality, gallery, or customer-service experience is an asset, but we are
happy to train the right person.

Position Details
Position: Retail Sales Associate
Location: Sun Peaks, British Columbia
Hours: Part-time or full-time; flexible scheduling available
Employment: Starting Mid November / Early December until the end of March. Seasonal and/or
year-round opportunities may be available
Compensation: $19 - $21 per hour depending on experience
